Stapled Booklets
These can also be called saddle stitched booklets or collate and wire. This is the method used where the printed pages are collated together, folded and then stitched (stapled) with metal staples. We can go upto 56 pages on a stapled booklet and these are ideal for magazines, events programmes, catalogues, brochures, books and order of services. They can have a thicker cover than the inner pages or the same paper stock cover as the inner pages which in the print trade is called a self cover booklet.
Perfect Bound Booklets
These are booklets that are not stapled mainly because they have a large number of pages, instead they are glued together at the spine of the booklet with a very strong but flexible PVA glue. This is one of the strongest booklet binding methods and will give your booklet a premium and professional look. We can go up to 120 pages and above on perfect bound booklets and even add hard covers.
Wiro Bound Booklets
These are booklets which are printed, collated together then punched with holes along the side and then held together using a metal wire spine. This is also known as coil binding and spiral bound. These are brilliant as you can have as many pages as you like. We produce logbooks with over 300 pages regularly. Clients can also have the option of clear acetate covers on the front and back to protect the booklet. These are ideal for large logbooks, presentations, student portfolios, mannuals, journals, notepads and recipe books. They will open flat without any damage to the spine and fold back on themselves.
